Graduate Music Therapy

Molloy University’s Graduate Music Therapy program prepares students for advanced clinical practice in music therapy and music psychotherapy. As the only program of its kind on Long Island, it offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes courses on music therapy in medical, educational, and psychotherapeutic settings. The program also emphasizes hands-on experience through supervised fieldwork at various healthcare facilities and Molloy’s on-campus clinic, the Rebecca Center for Music Therapy.

Students benefit from small class sizes, learning from board-certified therapists, and extensive clinical practice, all while developing skills in music-based therapy techniques. The program also meets New York State’s educational requirements for licensure as a Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT). Molloy is nationally accredited and offers financial aid and graduate assistantship opportunities for qualified students.
